Because many senior candidates for Qatar relocate from the UAE, Europe or Asia, we assess readiness for Doha specifically: the pace of decision-making, the role of the family or state shareholder, and the practicalities of visas and schooling. Notice periods and residency permits mean a Qatar search typically takes two to four weeks longer than an equivalent UAE mandate.
Employment in Qatar is governed by Labour Law No. 14 of 2004 and its amendments, including the 2020 reforms that introduced a minimum wage and removed the exit-permit and no-objection requirements for changing employer.
